PRIVACY POLICY

COOKIES

A cookie is a small text file that is downloaded onto ‘terminal equipment’ (eg, a computer or smart device) when the user accesses a website. It allows the website to recognise that user’s device and store some information about the user’s preference or past actions.

Please be advised, this website may collect cookies.

GDPR

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect 25 May 2018. More information can be found at https://ico.org.uk/.

ProEnt and its associated brands (Pro Apparel and ProArte) consider themselves to be ‘Controllers’ of data. We use Big Cartel to provide our ecommerce because they have confirmed that they are also GDPR compliant. We use third party online payment systems (PayPal and Stripe) for the same reason.

Under GDPR you have more control over your data. You can send a request to view the information we hold on you by emailing [email protected]. Under GDPR we have a 1 month time-frame to respond to your request. We will aim to do this sooner if we aren’t too swamped with orders!

The type of information we collect on you is considered ‘personal data’. This includes your name, address and in some cases phone number. We have to collect this data for us to process and ship your order. Your credit or debit card details are processed by PayPal or Stripe and we do not keep this information. We will keep a copy of the PayPal or Stripe receipt for 60 days (which is held between all parties involved). This contains your address and PayPal or Stripe username as well as the email associated with the account. We will also keep a record of your order and the associated information provided via Big Cartel for 60 days.

All information is held on secure servers and these services are provided by trusted organisations: webstore (Big Cartel), online payment systems (PayPal and Stripe), Email (Microsoft). We constantly review our accounts and security access in line with industry best practices. Any breach of your personal data will be reported to the ICO within 72 hours.
